ABOUT THE SPEAKER 

DANIEL M. SHIN

Luxury Executive, Venture Capitalist, and Executive Scholar
Managing Partner, KingsBay Capital, Head of Corp Development, MCM, Professor, Korea University Business School 

Daniel M. Shin is a venture capitalist and senior luxury fashion executive. He is a founding member and partner of KingsBay Capital, a cross-border venture capital firm based in San Francisco and Seoul.
He also oversees corporate and business development at MCM, a German luxury brand. 
He teaches at Korea University on adjunct basis while reading law at Oxford University. 
Prior to that, he served in various executive and management roles at Hanwha Group (DreamPlus), Korea Telecom (Strategic Investment Group), Daesung Group (BiNEXT), CJ Group (NetMarble) and Accenture (Strategy & Business Architect Practice Group). 

He published several books and is a speaker around the globe on the subjects related to innovation policy, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, reputation risk, alternative investment, future of work and so forth. 
He is a Cambridge Policy Fellow at the University of Cambridge and Fellow at Salzburg Global Seminar, and was nominated “Young Global Leader” by the World Economic Forum at Davos in 2016.
He became a Yale World Fellow under Yale University's former President Levin's legacy in 2013.
