Conference on the KEDGE Paris campus, in the Auditorium; also available via Microsoft Teams.

There has been substantial speculation on the impact of generative AI on employment. Less emphasis has been placed on how GenAI will change the role of the manager. In his talk, Stefano Piano, lecturer at ISEP and lead of the Mindstone AI community in France, will try to close this gap. Drawing on practical examples from the previous wave of computerisation and early GenAI adoption, he will argue that the role of the manager will evolve from task-master to coach.

Stefano Piano is a lecturer in "General Business and Economics" at ISEP, and lead in France for Mindstone, the world's largest practical AI community. An economist by background, during his career in London and Paris, he has worked in investment banking, strategy consulting and international organisations. In London, he advised large corporations such as Technicolor, Tesco and Lloyds. In Paris, while at the OECD, he supported 10+ governments across the world to prepare for the future of work. Stefano holds a a bachelor in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from Warwick University, and has completed postgraduate studies in Economics at Cambridge and the LSE as a Rotary scholar.
