Professional mariner for 25 years,
Sidney Gavignet has made 4 trips around the world, more than 30 transatlantic crossings, with teams, in pairs and alone and is a two-time world record holder
My passion is “human alchemy”, little nothings that assure the success of a team built upon a collective positive dynamic or, inversely, can lead to failure if this is not achieved. Today, I want to offer this experience with adventurous and high-performance teams to companies through coaching and a unique form of accompaniment. KEDGE is the partner in my transformation and is contributing to the elaboration of my programme ENGAGEMENT LAB
Part of a new intake of the Executive MBA
Sidney Gavignet is part of a new intake of the Executive MBA in which he is developing his project “ENGAGEMENT LAB”.
Self-taught, I needed first to bring a new outlook to my professional path in order to create value. Within the KEDGE Global MBA, I benefit from personalised tracking and an environment which allows me to bring to fruition my entrepreneurial project. I’ve also found within the Executive MBA the high-level of intensity necessary to nourish my professional reconversion.
It’s an honor to support Sidney in his adventure. Through his participation in the Route du Rhum, as well as in his entrepreneurial project “ENGAGEMENT LAB”, he shows all of the values about transformation and engagement that characterise KEDGE
Prior to the start of the Route du Rhum
Sidney wishes to create a collaborative partnership with several enterprises proposing to them a dynamic collective programme using an online game « Virtual Regatta » which allows collaborators to live the race experience in real time daily with him
Engagement is the simple motto of my journey. And yet, engagement is a major problem within companies, both within groups and for individuals. By meeting companies before the race, the objective is to sensibly co-construct and build strong internal adhesion. This programme is a unique experience allowing teams to embark on an engaging adventure
Partnership with the Café Joyeux
This adventure also sets itself apart because of the partnership with the Café Joyeux, the first chain of coffee-shops which help integrate mentally handicapped people or with cognitive disabilities by offering them jobs in every day situations.
La Route du Rhum is a powerful showcase and it will shed light on this enterprise that employs people who are « extraordinary ». Our beautiful boat will be an excellent means by which to show that beauty and performance are compatible with differences, our credo at the Café Joyeux. Sidney is a marvelous ambassador for our projects. We share the same desire to continually go further... fulfilling our wildest dreams !
Depart from Saint-Malo on the 4 November 2018
The 16 meters monohull put in at Caen on the 8th of August. The boat will then be welcomed by the town of Dinard prior to its depart from Saint-Malo on the 4 November 2018, headed for Pointe-à-Pitre in the Caribbean, finishing point of the race.
