Do I have the academic requirements to apply for the Global DBA at KEDGE Executive Education?

The required academic qualifications for successful participation in the Programme are :

Postgraduate academic level

A successfully completed postgraduate degree — equivalent to a Master’s level or higher — is essential to ensure your ability to meet the academic demands of the programme.

Accepted Degrees Include:

Master of Science (MSc)
Master of Philosophy (MPhil)
Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Executive MBA (EMBA)
Other equivalent qualifications recognized at the same academic level.

Other academic requirements

International Recognition:
Degrees from accredited institutions worldwide are accepted, provided they meet the academic standards of a Master’s level qualification.
Academic Preparedness:
These qualifications provide the foundational knowledge, analytical skills, and research capabilities necessary to engage meaningfully with the programme’s content and pace.
Documentation Required:
Official transcripts and degree certificates must be submitted during the application process to verify eligibility.

Validation of Personal and Professional Experience (VAPP)

Would you like to resume your studies by joining our MSc – Master of Science – program as a pathway to the DBA, even if you don’t fully meet the usual academic entry requirements? Through the Validation of Personal and Professional Experience (VAPP), candidates without the standard diplomas or degrees may still be eligible to access higher education programs based on their prior learning and professional background.

Please note that any VAPP application requires the submission of a separate file and is reviewed by a specialized department at KEDGE, independent from the program, with no guarantee of acceptance. What are the differences between DBA, EMBA and PhD programme?

EMBA concentrates on delivering management knowledge and skills, and a great number of case studies and discussions will be involved in the classes. A PhD is a full-time research programme. Typically, this programme is to prepare students for academic careers. The DBA programme is delivered partime to men and women in business who have significant practical experience and wish to conduct guided research on topics of specific business application. Similar to the PhD programme, courses on methodology, research methods, literature review writing and advanced courses on specific topics are taken.

How is the Global DBA programme recognized internationally?

KEDGE DBA students who successfully complete the programme will be awarded both DBA and MSc Research Methods degrees. KEDGE Business School is among the top 1% of Business Schools worldwide to hold the prestigious Triple Crown accrediation (AMBA, EQUIS & AACSB), and its degrees are globally recognized.

If a candidate does not hold a master's degree, can they still apply for the Global DBA programme?

Education background is a significant factor but not the decisive one. A candidate who has good corporate management experience and a strong aspiration to study will be taken into consideration. As such, a VAPP (Validation of Prior Professional and Personal Experience) procedure may be required. What are the English language requirements for applicants?

All courses of the Global DBA programme will be delivered in English. All applicants must demonstrate a minimum level of English language proficiency for admission to the programme.
